DogDaemona on Etsy – Cute and a little bit bizarre like me and you..
I discovered this adorable duo last week while watched the “recently added” feature (my favorite) on etsy. Made in Gaithersburg, MD, this shop only has *2* sales so far–something tells me that will all be changing soon! Her illustrations are sweet, too. Keep an eye on this one!
Hello world!
Welcome to my new journal. My hope is to provide an outlet for my obsessive online “window shopping.” The way I see it is that, instead of adding to my favorites and hoarding all of these great artists and ideas for my own private mental stash, maybe if I put them out there for you (will there be a “you”??), you’ll find something wonderful and new to start or add to your handmade collection! Or, at the least, you can bookmark them for a rainy day, for some crafty inspiration, or share them with another friend.
From my “favorites” to yours, I happily give you Hello Bluebird.
For my first post, I want to share a new crafting trend that has caught my eye. The simplicity of the embroidery hoop! I have been following a few crafters over the past 6 months, whose lovely hoop-framed creations add the simplest dose of pretty to your walls. I appreciate the small format, the understated presentation, and the almost “unfinished” nature of these pieces–like the maker has simply gotten up from her chair for a cup of tea…
Here are a few of my “collected” examples:
